Trauma Recovery with EMDR
Trauma & Complex PTSD Therapy
If you're here, you already know what it feels like when the past refuses to stay in the past. A sudden memory can steal your breath, causing your body to prepare for danger that isn't coming. Shame whispers it was your fault even though your adult mind knows better. Sleep is shallow, relationships feel like minefields, and some days, just getting out of bed feels heroic. If any of this sounds familiar, EMDR might be exactly what you've been looking for.

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a brain-based, research-backed therapy that helps your nervous system resolve PTSD and complex trauma. Instead of spending years talking about what happened, EMDR helps your brain finish processing old, painful memories and gently release the emotional triggers associated with them ā often faster than you would expect.
How EMDR Can Help
We start with safety and connection.
The first sessions are about helping your nervous system feel seen and settled in my presence. Thereās no pressure to spill everything at once ā just gentle, steady co-regulation, so your body learns this room is safe.
We reprocess the root memories. While you briefly think of a painful memory, I guide bilateral stimulation (eye movements, taps, or tones). In minutes (not months), the emotional charge associated with those memories drops. The image and body sensations fade, and the old beliefs (āIām not safeā / āIām powerlessā) naturally shift to something truer (āI survivedā / āIt wasnāt my faultā). We repeat this until the memory feels like history instead of a live wire.
We clear present triggers.
Once the big memories are processed, we target everyday triggers (a certain tone of voice, being touched unexpectedly, medical settings, intimacy, etc.) and install new, empowering beliefs and body feelings.
We integrate Parts work when needed. Some parts of you learned to freeze, fight, or people-please to survive .My goal is to help you approach these parts with deep curiosity, gratitude, and respect. Together, we will map out what happened and help your brain reprocess the experience and let it go.
Healing Is Closer Than You Think.
For over two decades, I've helped survivors move from I'm broken to I'm finally free. You deserve that too.
